A thick fog had settled into the valley on the east side of the Grand Teton Range this morning. While driving to the Rustic Inn Lodge to meet Corey and Elyssee, my thoughts were full of worry. After a year of planning and dreaming of an elopement surrounded by the majestic Tetons, Corey and Elyssee would have to settle for being surrounded by fog instead. After photographing a bit at the Inn we made our way towards Grand Teton National Park. My heart jumped into my throat when I realized the sky was getting brighter! We climbed the hill by the elk refuge and as we turned the corner we had the most breathtaking sunrise view. A blue bird day with the morning sun shinning on the Teton Range! Only a thin ribbon of fog remained, which ended up adding a lovely bit of atmosphere to the photographs.

Although it was a a brisk 28 degrees out (Corey and Elyssee also hired my brother Todd to do video. He flew in from Hawaii and I thought he was going to freeze to death!), their personal and sweet ceremony at Black Tail Ponds made all of our hearts warm and toasty. 🙂 They each took turns reading from the book “A Lovely Love Story” by Edward Monkton. It was so sweet!

After the vows we spent a few hours touring the park and taking photos of these two lovebirds from Georgia. Thank you again Corey and Elyssee! and Congratulations!
