Katie and Billy’s wedding at Moose Creek Ranch in Victor Idaho, was full of joy, community, and love. Between the wildflowers, mountains, aspens, and sage, everything felt very “earthy” and warm. Their attention to detail was stunning and reflected their light, joyous attitudes so well. They incorporated three bikes for decoration as well as photos of their dog Tupper wearing numbers to identify the tables. Katie made their wedding cake with hand-picked huckleberries and Billy picked the flowers for their ceremony site. My favorite detail of the day was Katie’s gorgeous ring. Billy made this ring on a ski bench using an Opal he found in Idaho.
Their ceremony was beautifully orchestrated with their dog walking down the aisle. The reception was so fun and THEM! Billy is in a band that played at the wedding, he even played guitar and sang “Wildflowers” by Tom Petty for the father-daughter dance. It was such an authentic and special moment to capture. Katie’s parent’s 39th wedding anniversary was the same day and after Katie introduced them her sister brought in the hat her mom wore at her wedding and they danced together to celebrate their 39 years of devotion. It was so honoring and beautiful which made the day all the more special and family-oriented.
