This beautiful wedding was held on a Thursday with just close family and friends. Katie and Neal were high school sweethearts. They came out to the Tetons from Massachusetts after falling in love with Jackson Hole and the national parks a few summers ago, and wanted a Summer Solstice wedding that reflected their love to adventure and camp. They chose a field near String Lake in Grand Teton National Park, but the water was too high on the shore, so we had to go to “plan b”. Sometimes, the alternative plan is even better – and it certainly was in this case! They were married in lush green grass at the base of the Tetons. You could hear the river running in the background, and while we were taking photos a deer walked across the bridge then immediately after a bald eagle flew over our heads. Only in the mountains of Wyoming!
Katie and Neal, it was so fun exploring the park and photographing your joy. Katie, you have the best laugh and you radiated the whole day. Your love and passion for the each other, the outdoors, and your family was so evident and made for such a joyous and intimate experience.
